Global PC Market Remains Weak

Although the holiday quarter (fourth quarter of 2014) saw global PC shipment volume inch above 80 million for the first time in 2014, the final quarter nonetheless marked the end of yet another difficult year – the third consecutive year with overall volumes declining. According to IDC, worldwide PC shipments totaled 80.8 million units in the 4Q14, a year-on-year decline of 2.4%.
