It's a thrill to be together again, here, now, in San Diego!" e energy and enthusiasm of IPC's presi- dent and CEO, Dr. John Mitchell, was clearly evident as he paced back and forth on the ros- trum during his morning keynote address to open up the 2022 show. Acknowledging the invaluable contribu- tions of the IPC staff and dozens of indus- try volunteers in making the event possible, he declared it a testament to the importance placed on industry collaboration, profes- sional development, and technological prog- ress—fundamental constituents of a com- munity drawing insight and inspiration from one another and committed to building electronics better in every possible way: tech- nologically, environmentally, and economi- cally. He reflected on the state of an industry that is growing bigger and faster than it has for years, in spite of circumstances that have scrambled supply chains and caused shortages of materi- als and components amid rising costs.
