Altium Designer updates
Library Expert
Major enhancements have been to the library ex-
pert's output to Altium Designer. This latest up-
date of the library expert (v2015) offers users a
very streamlined method of creating high quality
IPC-7351 compliant Footprints, 3D STeP mod-
els, and Footprint Attributes for Description and
height, simultaneously, in Altium Designer.

Cadence Earns Commenda-
tion from City of San Jose
San Jose Mayor Chuck reed and the San Jose City
Council have recognized the company as one of
the 25 industry-driving companies generating the
most growth and jobs in the city. "The people
of San Jose and Silicon valley have changed the
world, and it's thanks to industry-driving compa-
nies like Cadence that our city continues to be the
capital of Silicon valley, the world's center of inno-
vation," Mayor reed said.

IEEE to Adopt the
HDBaseT Standard
The hDBaseT Specifications 1.1.0 and 2.0 have
been approved by the Ieee Standards Association
(Ieee-SA) Standards Board for adoption as part of
the organization's standard portfolio. hDBaseT will
complement Ieee-SA's portfolio of market-proven
communications and technology standards.

Ev Research Collaboration
zuken plays an important role in this research by
advancing new technology concepts for eMC-re-
lated modelling of power and ground systems for
control unit structures and for incorporating pow-
er-ground related noise in signal integrity simula-
tion. eMC issues in electric vehicles can become
critical due to the high currents and voltages re-
quired by electric vehicle engines.
