Product Profiling The product profiling process determines and/or validates the actual oven settings in the controller, regardless of whether it's on-board or PC-driven. Profiling kits are available from most manufacturers and include thermocouples, all accessories to attach the probes to the board for use during the process, and a how-to guide with instructions. Profiling is done using one or more thermal probes (thermocouples) attached to the product and running it through the entire process to validate or modify a recipe based on the solder paste or product requirements.
