Sometimes the fastest distance between two points is not a straight line. • There are no risk-free decisions, including making no decision. • Doing the basics day after day, the block- ing and tackling, provides better results than most management fads. • Mistakes will occur. The best relationships are developed from reactions after something goes awry. • Culture can be crushed if management ac- tions don't map with the message.
