April 2014 Manufacturing ISM Report; PMI at 54.9%

Manufacturing expanded in April as the PMI registered 54.9%, an increase of 1.2 percentage points when compared to March's reading of 53.7%. A reading above 50% indicates that the manufacturing economy is generally expanding; below 50% indicates that it is generally contracting.
