China's Economic Reform Proposals: Implications for Multinationals

The agenda does not introduce major breakthroughs on financial reform, but rather calls for continued implementation of existing reforms, including interest rate liberalization; capital account convertibility; exchange rate liberalization; developing the bond market to increase the proportion of direct financing in the economy; and establishing a deposit insurance scheme.
