Development Chemist Carson City, NV Develop new products and modify existing products as identified by the sales staff and company manage- ment. Conduct laboratory evaluations and tests of the industry's products and processes. Prepare detailed written reports regarding chemical characteristics. The development chemist will also have supervisory responsibility for R&D technicians. Essential Duties: • Prepare design of experiments (DOE) to aid in the development of new products related to the solar energy industry, printed electronics, inkjet technolo- gies, specialty coatings and additives, and nano- technologies and applications • Compile feasibility studies for bringing new products and emerging technologies through manufacturing to the marketplace • Provide product and manufacturing support • Provide product quality control and support • Must comply with all OSHA and company workplace safety requirements at all times • Participate in multifunctional teams Required Education/Experience: • Minimum 4-year college degree in engineering or chemistry • Preferred: 5–10 years of work experience in designing 3D and inkjet materials, radiation cured chemical technologies, and polymer science • Knowledge of advanced materials and emerging technologies, including nanotechnologies Working Conditions: • Chemical laboratory environment • Occasional weekend or overtime work • Travel may be required
