Adult learning theory must be taken into consideration during any instructional design and content curation. The use of micro-learn- ing, real-world examples, experiential learn- ing, the establishment of personal relevance, and many other concepts are key to form- ing concrete solutions for training. Once the training is available and delivered, training must continue to inter- face with the manufac- turer to deliver metrics on the training that is being consumed. We can also help with put- ting a plan together to track the impact of the training, whether this is through operational m e t r i c s, m e a s u r i n g employee engagement, or a variety of other methods. Blackfox has been training manufacturers on technical and soft skills for about 25 years. But times are changing, and we are adapting. The world has been on a faster and faster pace of dig- italization, and the global COVID-19 pandemic gave it a huge kick forward with the necessity to operate and interface with each other in a remote environment. We've been asked to help which is exactly what we are trying to get man- ufacturers to realize. Blackfox has had veteran-focused train- ing programs for several years now. We help returning vets translate their military-learned technical skills into applicable civilian tech- nical skills. These highly trained transitioned soldiers are a hot commodity and are usually snatched up quickly by an employer partner. Looking ahead, in 2021 we will continue this work through a collaboration with the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) to develop and deliver a new transitioning veteran training pro- gram as part of NAM's Heroes Make America Program. Soldiers will be trained through the pilot program at mili- tary bases in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and they'll be available for hire across the nation. And while there is likely to be a large amount of similarity between the technical and soft skills that each manufacturing company is looking for, the exact method of delivery is bound to be fairly unique. While one manu- facturer may want to give free for all access to a variety of technical and personal develop- ment courses that can be taken in a self-paced manner, other companies will establish strict—
