When a book is particularly useful, I will buy all three versions—print, e-book, and audio—that way I can steal ideas in all the ways. 16. Another thing I do is check out the authors on Ted Talks and YouTube. ________________________ Now, let's talk about some of the books I find not only interesting, useful, and informative, but that are also very helpful and stimulating as well. 1. Any book by Seth Godin. e fact that we are all putting out newsletters to a target- ed "tribe" of loyal followers is because of Seth; he literally invented permission mar- keting. His books are small and easy to read, entertain- ing, and most of all thought provoking. My three favor- ites are: Permission Market- ing , All Marketers Are Li- ars, and Tribes: We Need You to Lead Us. Seth is also fun to watch YouTube. 2. Tom Peters is a great business writer and an even better speaker. Here are some great titles of his: e Excellence Divi- dend, In Search of Excel- lence, and e Little Big ings: 163 Ways to Pursue Excellence. He also has a great series of small handbooks of which my favorite is e Brand You 50.
