Silvertech ® C – Silver-graphite for reduced wear off Drive into the future with us! Our industry-proven silver-graphite process, Silvertech C, deposits a highly electrically conductive surface on power switches and connectors with high wear resistance requirements such as EV battery chargers. Silvertech C reduces wear-off by co-depositing weight 1–2 % graphite particles into the silver surface leading to significantly higher mating and unmating cycles of connectors. The self- lubricating effect of the graphite particles significantly reduces the coefficient of friction of silver surfaces thus reducing insertion forces without impairing its exceptionally low resistivity. The graphite particles are also an effective countermeasure against the well-known cold welding effect of pure silver surfaces. Silvertech C is available in two types of carbon graphite sizes. This allows for more flexibility in silver thick- ness. The high-volume production-proven process is designed for rack tools depositing around 0.6 µm silver/ min and deposits a satin-like greyish-silver surface.
