52 PCB007 MAGAZINE I DECEMBER 2024 He helped launch the Technology Market Research Council (TMRC) and was part of its steering committee. Gene was a member of the Suppliers Council Steering Committee and provided valuable input during the discus- sions that resulted in our founding the first IPC APEX EXPO (as it is named today). He served as chair of the Supplier's Council Leadership Meeting Subcommittee and the first annual Suppliers' Management Meeting. He served on the Consultants' Council, was active in many long-range planning meetings, and has served on the IPC Global Competitiveness Commit- tee. Gene Weiner has presented hundreds of management and technical papers over the years and remains a sought-aer resource as the industry evolves now into HDI and UHDI PCB manufacturing. As far as recognizing Gene's skilled lead- ership, it is telling that three IPC members who reported to him during his time as VP of Dynachem (myself, Lionel Fullwood, and Walt Custer) also went on to receive the IPC Raymond E. Pritchard Hall of Fame award. When we were honored, make no mistake, Gene was there providing support and con- gratulations. Still very active in the industry, Gene continues to contribute to IPC and other industry efforts toward the betterment of our industry's future. Gene received the IPC Raymond E. Pritchard Hall of Fame Award in 2005. PCB007 Learn more about Ray Pritchard here. If you are a former IPC Hall of Fame awardee, please contact me at baer@feinline.com.
