My name is Kurt Palmer, CEO of Schmoll America, and with my colleague Simon Khe- sin, we are launching this column about driving innovation in mechanical and optical process. To begin, I will look back at Schmoll's his- tory, building a business of manufacturing PCB drilling machines, examining key tech- nological milestones, and demonstrating how challenges were addressed over the years. In future columns, we will discuss current indus- try challenges, technological advancements, and anticipated trends shaping PCB manufac- turing.
