MEE T THE IPC APEX EXPO EVEN T TEAM Alicia Balonek, CEM, Senior Director, Trade Shows and Events For work: Alicia manages the meet- ings and events team, and is respon- sible for exhibition, sponsorship, and advertising revenue at IPC. She is actively involved in the overall logistics, strategic vision, and successful execution of these events. For play: In her free time, Alicia enjoys playing brain games (a hobby that reflects her knack for strategic thinking and creative problem-solving), spending time with her family and friends, and taking long walks. Julia Brodnick Flynn, Conference and Events Manager For work: Julia manages logistics and communications for technical and professional development conferences, delivering seamless experiences for participants while maintaining high standards of coordination and quality. For play: Julia enjoys reading, fashion and cooking, playing pickleball, and trying new Vegas restaurants with friends or family visiting. She also roots for her favorite teams: the Arizona Wildcats, Las Vegas Raiders, Golden State Warriors, and LA Dodgers. Trisha Fitt, Manager, Trade Shows and Events For work: Trisha is responsible for managing and entering all event con- tracts, assigning booth space, send- ing booth confirmations, and invoic- ing. She sends out authorizations for meeting requests at events. She calls past exhibitors who have not yet contracted, maintains the lottery list, and assists in space selection. Trisha monitors all exhibitor member- ship statuses and contacts those whose membership has expired to ensure it will be renewed. For play: Trisha has three Boston Terriers that she likes to play with and take on walks. She also enjoys boating during summer and spending time with family and friends. Kim DiCianni, CEM, Director, Trade Shows and Events For work: Kim plays a crucial role in the overall function of all IPC/ WHMA trade shows and events, including planning, production, logistics, site selec- tion, contractor specs, operations, and assisting with management in budgeting and selling of booth space, advertising, sponsorship, and membership. She establishes and maintains current and potential exhibitor relationships. She also assists in evaluating and contracting with key suppliers to ensure superior customer service at a cost-effective price for exhibi- tors. In addition, she oversees and manages all event registration, online exhibit halls, agenda planners, and event apps. Kim received and has maintained her CEM (Certified in Exhibition Management) since 2009 and has been part of the Convention Data Services Advisory Group since 2017. For play: Kim spends her free time with her family and friends, taking her dog on long walks, reading, and watching her daughter at gymnastics. Kristin Schueler, Director of Meetings and Events For work: Kristin is responsible for collaborating with other depart- ments to ensure IPC APEX EXPO (among other events) is success- fully executed. Her tasks include site comparison and selection, contract negotiation, budget planning, meeting logistics planning, transportation, signage, temporary staffing, audio-visual arrangements, order- ing of food and beverage, and hotel arrangements for staff/speakers. For play: Kristin enjoys spending time with her husband and their two sons, ages 10 and 12. They love their family trips every summer to their family lake house in Glen Arbor, Michigan.
