Behind this roadmap is a set of hard tech- nical metrics, which Song Bo rattled off in quick succession: • Minimum line width/spacing of 35/35 μm, surpassing the 40/40 μm mass-production limit of conventional dry-film tenting processes • Minimum laser blind-via diameter of 75 μm • Compatibility across the full product range with M6–M9 ultra-low-loss laminates • Stable back-drill stub control at 2–6 mil; and impedance tolerance of ±7% To meet leading customers' requirements for 40–78 layer N+M and N+N+N hybrid-stack designs, the factory is adding integrated hot-and-cold lami- nation presses and high-precision CCD vision- guided back-drilling machines in batches. Its HDI lines are also being fully equipped with Mitsubishi laser drilling systems and horizontal electroplating equipment for via filling. On the measurement and analysis side of the equation, Peng Min described Sundell's central analytical laboratory. It is equipped with a VNA, ion- milling SEM, EDS, and 3D X-ray systems, enabling electroplated crystal structures to be examined at 5,000–10,000X magnification for nanoscale defect localization. The laboratory also offers a full suite of reliability testing capabilities, including TCT, CAF, IST, and HATS. They plan to complete ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation this year. The manufacturing system follows the same philosophy of "laying the groundwork first." Auto- mation rates exceed 95% across core processes, enabling full-process traceability down to the individual PCB level. APS (advanced planning and scheduling), WMS (warehouse management system), QMS (quality management system), EAM (enterprise asset management), and BPM systems form a closed-loop, data-driven architecture, while AGVs (autonomous guided vehicles) handle mate- rial transport throughout the workshop. In the fourth quarter of 2023, the industrial park received a Gold Award in the U.S. MUSE Design Awards for factory design; in January 2025, it earned an EcoVadis Silver Medal, placing it among the top 15% of companies assessed globally.
