SmtA to hold evolving
technologies Summit
The association has announced the "evolving
Technologies Summit" will be held September
29, 2014 as a focused symposium at SMTA Inter-
national in rosemont, Illinois. The purpose of the
summit is to present key issues in printed electron-
ics, advanced packaging technology, and materi-
als innovations to gain insight regarding technol-
ogy changes in the future.

on FOD prevention
The reliability and functionality of electronic de-
vices can be severely affected by foreign objects
and debris (foD). To help industry eliminate
foD issues, IPC has released a training video,
DvD-172C, "foD Prevention in electronics As-
sembly."

IpC, hKpCA renew
partnership
following a highly successful 2013 International
Printed Circuit & APeX South China fair (hKPCA
& IPC Show), IPC and hKPCA are extending their
alliance to host the event for another four years.
The 2014 event will be held December 3–5 at
the Shenzhen Convention & exhibition Center in
Shenzhen, China with an anticipated 500 exhibi-
tors covering 42,000 square meters.
