Ventec Supports ESA Proposal for
IPC4101D's Appendix A
The proposed appendix a, originally drafted in
February 2013 and revised in september 2014,
aims to define an enhanced quality standard for
base materials used in high-reliability PCBs for criti-
cal applications, with particular reference to the
prevention and detection of foreign material inclu-
sions early in the supply chain.

Cutting Dynamics Employs Robot to
Transform Busines
Cutting Dynamics has joined the roster of ad-
vanced manufacturers using collaborative robot-
ics to transform its business, adding a Baxter ro-
bot to a critical part of its thermal deburring line
in its avon, ohio plant. Baxter works alongside the
company's team of aerospace manufacturing engi-
neers, automating the finishing process for its line
of high-precision parts.
DARPA unveils Tool to Identify

"The advanced scanning optical Microscope—
one of many iris-developed technologies—offers
important hardware security and reliability assur-
ance capabilities," said Kerry Bernstein, DarPa
program manager. "These tools are optimized to

New JEDEC Subcommittee: Focus on
