80 PCB007 MAGAZINE I MARCH 2018 ditional investment in U.S. manufacturing op- erations and the creation of 25,000 new Amer- ican jobs. Carrier The HVAC manufacturing giant announced the cancellation of a planned move of 1,400 jobs from its Indianapolis factory to Mexico. Apple The technology company will bring hun- dreds of billions of overseas dollars back to the U.S. and invest tens of billions on domes- tic jobs, manufacturing and data centers in the coming years. The iPhone maker plans capital expenditures of $30 billion in the U.S. over five years and will create 20,000 new jobs at exist- ing sites and a new campus. These are only some of the high-profile com- panies putting their money behind Made in America.
