According to IPC: The IPC Rising Star Award is given to IPC members who have taken leadership roles and provided support to IPC standards, education, advocacy and solutions to industry challenges. Their contributions have made significant impact upon IPC and industry within the past five years and will continue to have a lasting impact for many years to come. This year IPC recognized two people for this award, both from out of the country: Pierre Emmanuel Goutorbe, Airbus, and Yusaku Kono, Japan Unix. I contacted both by email for these interviews. Patty Goldman: Pierre, congratulations on this award from IPC. Please tell me a bit about yourself, your current position at Airbus, and your work background. Pierre EmmanueI Goutorbe: I am a PCB expert within Airbus Defence & Space. I am based in Toulouse, France covering PCB suppliers' development, PCB standards and providing technical support for any space-related proj - ect (satellites, launcher and constellations) for European sites.
