Semiconductor Industry Capex Forecast
to Slump in 2019 and 2020 E
In its upcoming mid-year update to The Mc-
Clean Report 2019, IC Insights reports that the
semiconductor industry capex is forecast to
slump in 2019 and 2020. Over the past 34 years,
there have been six periods when semicon-
ductor industry capital spending declined by
double-digits rates for one or two years (1985–
1986, 1992, 1997–1998, 2001–2002, 2008–2009,
and 2012–2013).
5G Smartphones Shipment to Reach
