OE-A Business Climate Survey—Mixed
Feelings Despite Positive Expectations E
"e forecast for the Printed Electronics
Industry remains positive and stable. We are
slightly less optimistic than in the spring survey
in March of this year, with an expected sales
increase of 16 percent for 2023. Nevertheless, a
promising 18 percent increase is projected for
2024," says Dr. Klaus Hecker, OE-A managing
director, about the results of the latest business
climate survey.
Flexible Thinking: The Simplest Way
Is the Best Way E
Interconnection substrate technologies (PCBs,
flex and rigid-flex circuits, and IC packag-
ing substrates) have made possible the steady
advance of electronic products for more than
seven decades. ey are foundational struc-
tures for electronics and arguably the backbone
of modern electronics. However, their design
and manufacture has become increas-
ingly challenging over the years.
Würth Elektronik
Launches Research
Project HyPerStripes E
HyPerStripes project partners
will create a technology platform
including manufacturing techniques
for roll-to-roll (R2R) processing as
well as the integration of electronic com-
ponents onto very long ("endless"), flexible
and stretchable printed circuit boards. is
will pave the way to higher-performance
products and new applications, while reducing
the cost and environmental impact of manu-
facturing.
