Business is all about the people whether it be our custom- ers, suppliers or, most importantly, our own team members. All business is based on peo- ple-to-people relationships. Whether you own a three-person hot dog stand or a multi- billion-dollar corporation with thousands of employees, these transactions are based on how we work with one another. When it comes to our own people, the more time we spend training them, the bet- ter they will assimilate into our organization and become key contributors to the good of the company and themselves. With this in mind, I want to talk about how CEE trains our people. I hope you will find some helpful ideas, as I am sure many compa- nies like ours are facing ever-increasing chal- lenges. We must have the ability to attract, develop, and retain talent if we want to main- tain a competitive edge.
