Dr. Jennie S. Hwang was appointed to the
Board on Army RDT&E, Systems Acquisition,
and Logistics (BARSL), which has recently
been established to advise the Assistant Sec-
retary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics,
and Technology (ASA[ALT]), the U.S. Depart-
ment of Defense, on national security, engi-
neering, technological, operational, manage-
ment, and logistical issues.

Bell Boeing CMV-2B Osprey Successfully
Completes First Flight E
The first CMV-22B Osprey, built by Bell Textron
Inc., a Textron Inc. company, and Boeing, com-
pleted first flight operations at Bell's Amarillo
Assembly Center. The CMV-22B is the latest
variant of the tiltrotor fleet, joining the MV-22
and CV-22 used by the U.S. Marine Corps and
U.S. Air Force.
