Kelly says the toolkit supports companies in meeting the stringent requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), and offers a structured, industry-aligned approach to conducting double materiality assessments. She explains the terms and measures and why this matters. Kelly, tell me about the white paper published by the Global Electronics Association last year. Why is it valuable for the industry? We published "Why Double Materiality Assessments Matter: Compliance and Competitive Advantage," in Decem- ber 2024 to provide the electron- ics industry with information about the CSRD-required double materi- ality assessments (DMAs). The first companies subject to the CSRD had to apply the new rules in the 2024 financial year, with their first reports due in 2025.
