£13M Boost for Next-Gen Satellite Com-
munications for Trains and Farmers ⊲
More reliable broadband on remote Scottish rail-
ways and affordable sensors which help farmers
grow more food are among a raft of new projects
which will bring the benefits of space technology
into everyday life.
Genie Space Edge Processor Achieves
Space Heritage With Successful U.S.
Space Force Mission ⊲
The successful mission marks a significant step in
the evolution of space-based computing by bring-
ing powerful computer vision autonomy directly to
the spacecraft, while enabling AI-driven autonomy
and real-time RPO mission processing in space.
CACI Opens Manufacturing Center of
Excellence for Defense Electronics in
Rochester, NY ⊲
The 61,000-square-foot facility increases CACI's
manufacturing space by more than 300% and will
serve as a hub for the development, test, assem-
bly, and delivery of advanced electronic warfare
technologies that give U.S. forces a decisive
advantage in contested environments.
FRACTAL Unveils Mesh-to-Gateway
D2D Satellite System ⊲
A patented and patent-pending Mesh-to-Gateway
(M2G) architecture for unlicensed Part 15 wireless
networks with D2D/LEO satellites, enabling ubiq-
uitous connectivity for sensors, machine control,
fleet management, IoT, robotics, and other Part 15
devices, has been disclosed.
ITAR vs. EAR: When PCB Fabrication
Can Move Outside the U.S. ⊲
ITAR and EAR are both export control frameworks,
but they regulate different types of programs and
data in different ways. Understanding that differ-
ence is critical for procurement, supplier quality,
and engineering teams making supplier decisions.
Javelin JV, Tata Advanced Systems Sign
India Missile Co-Production Deal ⊲
Tata Advanced Systems and the Javelin Joint
Venture (JJV), a partnership between Raytheon and
Lockheed Martin, have entered into a memorandum
of understanding (MOU) for the co-production of the
Javelin All Up Round (AUR) in India. Tata Advanced
Systems has been selected by JJV as the prime
partner for future in-country co-production efforts.
IPC-1751 Builds Supply Chain
Infrastructure for the Future ⊲
IPC-1751 Committee Chairs Nikki Johnson and Dr.
N Nagaraj discuss IPC-1751, the newly adopted
JSON-based standard that replaces the older XML
format. IPC-1751 serves as a modular "envelope"
that connects related standards (IPC 1752–1757,
IPC-1782) for material composition, lab reports, and
conflict minerals.
Lockheed Martin, Saildrone Demonstrate
Launch from USV Platform ⊲
In coordination with the USS Theodore Roosevelt
(CVN-71) Carrier Strike Group the Saildrone Surveyor
demonstrated its interoperability by acting on target
data for a surrogate high-speed surface craft. The
demonstration went from concept to demonstration
in six months in partnership with the U.S. Navy.
Teledyne Surpasses 1,000 Space Imag-
ing Sensors With NASA Roman Tele-
scope Launch ⊲
With the launch of Roman, there are now more
than 1,000 Teledyne scientific imaging sensors
in space, including those aboard the Hubble and
James Webb missions. The detector technologies
supplied by Teledyne support both of Roman's
primary scientific instruments, enabling investiga-
tions into dark energy, exoplanets, and a broad
range of astrophysical phenomena
NASA Awards Infleqtion $20M as
World's First Quantum Gravity Mission
Advances Toward Flight ⊲
NASA has awarded the company a $20 million
follow-on contract to continue development of the
Quantum Gravity Gradiometer Pathfinder (QGGPf),
a mission led by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory
(JPL) that is designed to fly the world's first space-
based quantum gravity sensor.
