IPC COMMUNITY 70 SUMMER 2023 IPC Qualified Manufacturers List (QML) and Qualified Products List (QPL) were created to address a need identified by an industry survey: 75% of responding engineers and executive management from OEMs, EMS providers, and suppliers viewed a supplier qualification program as vital to their business. IPC quali- fication provides manufacturers with the opportunity to become part of a network of trusted sources that the industry will look to first and foremost when evaluating existing and potential business partners. Since 2015, more than 30 manufacturers in China have taken part in the IPC QML program; among them are well-known companies such as Magna, Flextronics, LUXSHARE, and Askey. In recent years, industry adoption and recognition has increased.
