"The Insulectro family lost one of its
founding salesmen this year. Neil Col-
grove passed away recently. For those
who did not have the pleasure of meet-
ing him, Neil was key to the success of
the company as it stands today. He made
a large impact on all of us, including Rob-
ert Straccia, former vice president of sales, another essen-
tial founding partner of Insulectro," stated Don Redfern,
Insulectro Chairman.
The registration of copper features, both to
interconnects and to each other, is a topic
about which documented cases in the pub-
lic space are less than abundant, other than
individual supplier marketing with mini-
mal back-up data. Traditionally, this area is
known to individual fabs as it involves mul-
tiple processes with a lot of variation in
equipment makes/models, and even base
materials between different shops.

for Amitron. As such,
he's visited fabricators in
North America, Europe,
and Asia in the past
few years, and he's had a ringside seat to the
chal-
lenges and opportunities facing fabricators around
the globe. The I-Connect007 editorial team asked
Aidan to share his economic outlook for PCB manu-
facturing as we head into 2024 and beyond.

taking full advantage of a flexible circuit's
potential compared to conventional wiring.
Happy Holden has been an inspiration to
me since I first met him at IPC APEX EXPO
a few years ago. He is the father of the
modern-day HDI PCB and former CTO at
Foxconn. In his book, 24 Essentials Skills
for Engineers, Happy highlights the
most important and viable skills for an
engineer's success.
