42 SMT007 MAGAZINE I JUNE 2025 nies in the U.S. and Canada make an impressive list, and it is an honor to be in a position to serve them and support the electronics industry. Of course, IPC began in the U.S., so I'm sure our U.S. and Canadian constituencies are very happy to have you. With so much happen- ing domestically, what do you plan to focus on first? What will your first 100 days look like? In all my professional experiences, I have most enjoyed getting people to work together to make a positive impact. So, my first 100 days will focus on getting to know the teams within IPC, their different backgrounds and skill sets, and how to bring that together to serve our members. Regarding one element of the strategy for the members in the U.S. and Canada, I'm passion- ate about workforce development. We are los- ing skill sets in key areas throughout the indus- try, especially in our electronics industry. I'm excited about what IPC has developed and is launching in this area. I will also focus on supply chain challenges, which are a constant in this industry. Whether it's tariff issues today or COVID in the past, there are always many challenges around the supply chain for our members' businesses. I will find out what our members need today to operate their businesses successfully and how IPC can continue to help. Having the time to really listen helps you see that while you often weren't off the mark, you can still be surprised. That can be very grat- ifying and can make for amazing customer relationships. Exactly. One of the most important things I can do right now is reach out and listen to our members, making sure I understand what they're saying and what their challenges really are. As an association, that is so important. I agree. Joe, is there anything else you want us to know about you and your plans for the future? Everyone at IPC has been very welcoming and eager for my involvement. I'm ready to move forward with this regional strategy and build a cohesive plan. I love the electronics industry and the great people in this business. I'm look- ing forward to meeting our members. Joe, thank you so much, and welcome aboard. I wish you much luck in your position. ank you so much, Marcy. I look forward to working with you. SMT007
