42 PCB007 MAGAZINE I SEPTEMBER 2025 For more than 30 years, the company has supplied solutions for millimeter-wave (mmWave) applications. One standout material is RO3003™, originally de- signed as a very low-loss material for power ampli- fiers but later adopted in mmWave radar systems at high volumes. We've continued to refine this technology with RO3003G2™ laminate, specifically optimized for mmWave performance. More recently, the com- pany introduced RO4830™ Plus circuit material, a PFAS-free thermoset laminate with excellent RF performance, lower cost structure, and easier cir- cuit fabrication. Looking ahead, we're preparing to launch RO1003™ core material, another PFAS-free material that delivers extremely low loss and per- formance comparable to RO3003G2. While Rogers is synonymous with RF technology, the company has also been quietly innovating in the high-speed dig- ital (HSD) space for decades. Drawing on our mmWave expertise, we've developed XtremeSpeed® RO1200 laminates and bondply, designed for extremely low loss, high layer-count capability, and reduced glass-weave effects—key requirements for next-generation HSD designs. Building on this foundation, we will soon release RO1201™ laminate, an optimized version of RO1200 material with even lower loss and improved glass- weave mitigation. Complementing RO1201 core is a new ultra-low-loss prepreg, matched to the elec- trical properties of the core material, enabling what may be the lowest-loss PCB stack-up currently achievable for HSD applications. From pioneering space exploration in the 1970s to advancing 5G, radar, and high-speed digital technologies today, we have consistently set the standard for high-performance circuit materials.
