108 I-CONNECT007 I REAL TIME WITH... IPC APEX EXPO 2023 SHOW & TELL MAGAZINE T he IPC APEX EXPO 2023 STEM Out- reach Event was held Jan. 25–26 at the San Diego Convention Center. It was attended by over 500 students from the surrounding area. The event started at 8 a.m. both days, with students arriving from five high schools on the first day, and three on the second day. Students were greeted with badges and a big breakfast of sandwiches, cookies, and teas. Each seat in the room had complimentary drawstring bags filled with goodies. On Wednesday morning, IPC Education Foun- dation Senior Director Charlene Gunter du Plessis greeted everyone as she introduced herself and the IPC Education Foundation. She explained that today we would go through three different tracks: the design challenge, soldering, and the show floor, where we would be able to see all sides of the industry.
