30 I-CONNECT007 I REAL TIME WITH... IPC APEX EXPO 2023 SHOW & TELL MAGAZINE 30 I-CONNECT007 I REAL TIME WITH... IPC APEX EXPO 2023 SHOW & TELL MAGAZINE (or make) every opportunity or challenge. Don't ever say no. If I had said no to that trip to Providence, things could've ended up a lot differently. Just keep moving forward. Every- thing has its time and place, and you'll get there. I often wonder if other industries move as quickly or if they are changing as much as our industry changes every day. Things move so fast in electronics. They do. Just look at automotive. We're work- ing a lot with the automotive groups and things are changing there. When I bring my car in to get worked on, for example, I think they dread seeing me. One day I asked some- body why it took two hours to complete the work on my car. They said, "Well, we have this to do, and we have that to do." I replied, "Do you have a soldering iron? I'd be happy to help you." They gave me that look. I think other industries do change. But how do they adapt to that change? Our industry adapts very well to change and embraces it on an ongoing basis. We have to, because it's how we are as con- sumers and users of electronics. Then of course, as an association of contributors getting that work done. Not only do we expect change, but we also expect it to be different every day, every week, every year. Expect it and, in some cases, demand it. How many times have we picked up our phone and thought, "What if it did this, or why did it do that?" and the expecta- tion is that somebody will fix that if we can't. I've been preparing for IPC APEX EXPO for a while now. We have some really exciting con- versations planned, and we're getting ready to go to ballot with some of our larger docu- ments this year. I've already had committee meetings this morning and conversations about it. It's an exciting time. Congratulations again. I look forward to seeing you, especially at the Hall of Fame breakfast. You will, and hopefully all the meeting logis- tics changes in the 001/610 meeting will go well. We are trying some new things to have more participation and less running around. We are looking at a different microphone sys- tem as well. It will be fun to see how that all works out. Thanks so much for your time. Thank you. S&T IPC Hall of Fame Award
