IPC COMMUNITY 20 SUMMER 2024 mated BGA rework systems. We are very involved in fume extraction, which is necessary when you're working with solder, to keep the workers safe. We won't just sell you a piece of equipment and forget about you. We show you how to use it and be productive with it. We're proud to be one of the few solutions providers for the assembly and repair of highly advanced electronics in the United States. Our motto is "professional grade, American-made." What is your experience with IPC APEX EXPO? Aaron: We have been attending since it was a stand-alone event in 1994. My first exhibition was at NEPCON West in 1980. It's important to be there. Eric: We look forward to attending the show and meeting people directly; it's mutually ben- eficial. There's no substitute for that. While there, we take a technical approach, inviting people to bring us their boards and we'll do a live analysis and demonstration on them. The benefit is being able to compare prod- ucts. It's like one-stop shopping. Touch the merchandise; we welcome that. Next year we plan to release a significant product line, a real game changer. Our watchword is, "Innova- tion with a purpose and a benefit." How has IPC membership benefited your company? Aaron: Membership allows us to be intimately tied to IPC-A-610, IPC-7711, and IPC-7721 in a training capacity. As a small company, we stay involved with committees and offer input, even if we can't make it to the meetings. Why are you proud of the PACE staff? Eric: We have an incredible amount of longev- ity among our staff members. When I returned in 2009, many of the staff had left. Fortunately, I prevailed on some former staffers, such as Aaron and other technical staff, to come back to PACE. Now, several employees have stayed 40 years or more and they bring a level of legacy knowledge that is irreplaceable. We're bringing younger folks on board as well. We feel we have a diverse workforce with a lot of rare talent.
