IPC COMMUNITY 33 SUMMER 2024 How well does the training meet your needs? The training has shown immediate positive improvement in quality. Within two months, our quality record with critical applications has improved significantly. We have dropped below 10 ppm, and our scrap rate of dam- aged PCBAs due to improper handling has improved by more than 70%. The IPC training, in combination with our focus on zero defects, has been paramount in promoting our quality culture here at OES. What have you enjoyed most about working with IPC? IPC's proactive focus on member engage- ment, as well as the senior leadership team, has been impressive. There is no question that having a partnership and relationship with IPC is a key component of our business strategy. IPC has been very hands-on during the imple- mentation of our employee training program and has been a valuable resource whenever we've asked for help, from networking to con- necting with advisors in the EMS industry to learn more about U.S. legislation and lobbying efforts that support electronics manufactur- ing in North America. You attended the EMS Summit at IPC APEX EXPO. How well were your expectations met? OES has some specific equipment and capi- tal investment requirements to meet our five- year strategic initiatives, and APEX EXPO was a wonderful opportunity to meet with various equipment manufacturers and their senior leaders. We were interested in networking to find potential growth opportunities, and OES also exhibited at the show with a focus on promot- ing our rapid prototyping capabilities. Our sales team received some excellent leads which are working their way through our pipeline.
