The event featured remarks from STI leadership, representatives from L3Harris, and local dignitaries, including Alabama Con- gressman Dale Strong and Madison (Alabama) Mayor Paul Finley. This provided a unique opportunity to showcase STI's role in support- ing the military's cutting-edge technology. One of the most memorable parts of the day was the demonstration of six different models of night vision goggles. The STI conference room was sealed from light, allowing attend- ees, including the congressman and mayor, to experience firsthand the advanced optics that their power supplies help bring to life. "Our employees got to see that they're not just building circuit boards; they're building something critical to the mission and safety of service members," David says. "For years, we built circuit boards for classified military applications but couldn't reveal their true purpose. Suddenly, we could say these boards go into night vision goggles. It blew people away. Many say, 'I drive by that building every day, and I had no idea what you did inside.' It's been great publicity and has boosted employee morale tremendously." Rooted in Quality, Driven by Innovation Founded in 1982 by the Raby fam- ily—David and his parents, Jim and Ellen Raby—STI began as a small consulting and training business in San Dimas, California, before relocating to Madison, Alabama in 1993. The family's deep roots in the industry played a significant role in the company's direction.
