By now, you have heard about our name change and how that change reflects our expanding global presence. I'd like to take this opportu- nity to explain what this new name means for you, our valued members, and how it reinforces our mis- sion to serve you. The Global Electronics Association's vision—"Better electronics for a better world"—is a straightforward statement that reflects our daily work worldwide. Our new mission and vision position the asso- ciation to work more deeply with you, our members, and the industry globally to advo- cate the importance of electronics in the ever-changing landscape of geopolitics, workforce challenges, and technology. Our Board of Directors reviewed and approved the decision to change our name, recognizing that this is a natural progression for the Association and reflects the work we do in all sectors of the industry. As one member said, "The new name catches up to what we've already been doing." We have a new name, but the same commitment to serve you Though we have a different name, our dedication and commitment to advancing the industry and supporting our members remain steadfast. We are proud to serve as your voice, advocating for progress, resilience, and innovation, and ultimately connecting industries, gov- ernments, and consumers across the globe. To respond to the industry's ongoing challenges, we aim to build a more resilient supply chain and drive sus- tainable growth. We will advocate for fair trade, smart regulation, and regional manufacturing, and educate on industry practices, actionable intelligence, and technical innovations to empower the future. The electronics industry is defined by change, and this name change is only possible because of your participation. We value your contributions, your part- nership, and your expertise as we move forward together, helping the world through electronics. We're excited about what's ahead, and we know we wouldn't be here without you. Thank you for your support and excitement about your Global Electronics Association. By Dr. John W.
