C O M M U N I T Y M A G A Z I N E 6 2 S U M M E R 2 0 2 5 By Michelle Te, Managing Editor, Community Magazine Creating Connections in Mexico The Mexico team is fostering partnerships through events, visits A concerted effort over the past year has created inroads for the Global Electronics Association—Mexico (formerly known as IPC) with leading electronics companies, government offices, and academic institutions in Mexico. "Our goal is to bring more aware- ness to what the Global Electronics Association is and what it offers," says Lorena Villanueva, senior direc- tor, Global Electronics Association— Mexico. "We also aim to increase our membership. Of 3,200 members of the Global Electronics Association, only 180 are in Mexico." With the help of her team, Lorena has worked to increase the adop- tion of the Association's education programs in Mexico. "That's why I've worked to establish these strong partnerships," she says.
