Harley-Davidson's electrical systems bring classic cool to the digital age The company also integrates modern electrical systems into machines that still reflect the iconic feel and aesthetic its rid- ers have come to expect. This reference to wiring systems was a nod to the audience at the Elec- trical Wire Processing Technol- ogy Expo (EWPTE) in May, where Brian Schneider, an engineering manager for routed systems at Harley-Davidson, was the key- note speaker. EWPTE is provided by the Wir- ing Harness Manufacturer's Asso- ciation (WHMA) and the Global Electronics Association (formerly known as IPC) as an opportunity for the wire harness industry to come together. More than 3,000 attendees and nearly 200 exhib- itors found solutions to chal- lenging wire problems through training and education and had the opportunity to network with industry leaders and subject mat- ter experts.
