"The Validation Services QML provides a precise 'quality bench- mark' for the automotive electron- ics supply chain," IPC CAEC Chair Benny (Zhanghua) Cao said during the onsite validation. "It helps enterprises pinpoint issues and drives continuous improvement through systematic mechanisms. This is of great significance in shaping a mature quality culture across the industry." From Regional Leader to Global Benchmark: Magna Zhangjiagang's Rise Established in 2008 as Zhangjiag- ang Suxing Electric Co., Ltd., Magna Electronics (Zhangjiagang) became Magna's first manufacturing base in China and was officially renamed in 2013. Located in Jiangsu Prov- B I T S & B Y T E S ince's Zhangjiagang Economic Development Zone, it is a strategic part of Magna's global footprint. As a leading global supplier of automotive systems and compo- nents, Magna emphasizes stan- dardization, digitalization, and green manufacturing. Its Zhangji- agang facility continuously invests in soldering process capabilities, failure prevention, and operator training, and serves as a key deliv- ery center for multiple vehicle platforms within Magna's global system. The QML validation is a testa- ment to its long-standing quality operations and lays a solid founda- tion for serving more international OEM customers in the future. Strengthening Quality Consensus: Continued Development of Automotive Electronics Services With the successful implementation of this project, the Global Electron- ics Association's service system for automotive electronics has further expanded, forming a complete value chain from standard development to training and validation services. Many enterprises have begun engaging in the Automotive QML validation, grad- ually establishing a more practical and operational quality assurance sys- tem focused on standards guidance, capability enhancement, and process improvement. Looking ahead, the Global Elec- tronics Association will continue aligning with industry needs to promote the QML program's application in key areas such as new energy vehicles, autonomous driving, and in-vehicle electronics. The Association will also encour- age deeper collaboration with the supply chain to build a more open, transparent, and sustainable qual- ity evaluation platform, supporting ongoing progress in standardized management and quality control across the industry.
