For example, the Wire Harness Competition was successfully conducted in Sri Lanka, Australia, and Abu Dhabi, drawing strong participation that highlighted emerging talent in wire harness assembly. The India Pavilion at EWPTE 2025 showcased India's growing lead- ership in wire processing and its integration into the global supply chain. The Association also organized hand sol- dering competitions in Riyadh and Australia, while delivering technical sessions in loca- tions such as Sri Lanka, Abu Dhabi, Pune (India), and more. These sessions cover essen- tial topics, including ESD, SMT, conformal coating, and best practices in soldering and wire harness assembly. We participated in a seminar, "Atmanirbhar Baharat: Indigenous PCB Manufacturing, Test, and Cer- tification," in April, in Bangalore, India, organized by the Controllerate of Quality Assurance (Electronics, DGQA, Ministry of Defence, Government of India). The Global Electronics Association continues to support government stakeholders and industry in developing Indian standards for PCB manufacturing and testing. As part of our quality enhancement initiative in the consumer and mobile electronics sector, we are work- ing closely with leading OEMs and EMS companies to develop standards and skill-building programs. To that end, we have scheduled a technical session, "Improving Quality in Consumer and Mobile Manufacturing Process," June 27, in Noida. Our first-ever Wire Harness Competition in Southeast Asia took place in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Industry members in Vietnam have expressed interest in forming an IPC standards committee, with recent virtual discussions on IPC-A-610. In Thailand, Elite Group Technology was added to the Qualified Manufacturer's List (QML) under IPC-J-STD-001/ IPC-A-601. Our team also visited industry members in Manila during April. The Philippine electronics industry plays a vital role in global manufacturing, particularly with semiconductor and EMS suppliers, and contributes about 60% of the country's exports. The industry there is focused on PCB assembly, testing, packaging, and distribution of electronic products, supported by international and an increasing number of domestic EMS companies. We aim to support the Philippine industry through workforce skill development programs and industry networking to enhance competitiveness. June 18–21, 2025: The Global Electronics Association hosted a Wire Harness Hand Soldering Competition in Bangkok, Thailand.
