IPC COMMUNITY 78 FALL 2024 India Technical Session and Networking A highlight of the day was the ESD workshop led by Ken Sakamoto San, director of Shishido Electrostatic Ltd., who shared insights into improving safety and reliability in electronics manufacturing. The day ended with an exclusive industry networking dinner hosted by Advance Tech, an opportunity for participants to make informal connections within the global electron- ics community. F ollowing our successful event in Malay- sia, we continued the second segment of IEMI in India, July 29-30, at Hotel Taj Yeshwantpur in Bengalore, with support from the Ministry of Electronics, Governments of India and Karnataka. This segment of the event, which focused on defense and aerospace, received an overwhelm- ing response from the industry and was a tre- mendous success. Emphasizing Collaborations and Standards Development The event began with 400+ B2B meetings, bringing together Indian and international delegates from more than 10 countries. These interactions fostered partnerships and collabo- rations, laying a solid foundation for future ven- tures in the electronics industry. Concurrently, stakeholders from various sec- tors, including design, EMS, wire harness, and defense and aerospace, gathered for standards development meetings, highlighting the impor- tance of standardized practices in enhancing industry quality and efficiency.
