Northrop Grumman to Demonstrate
Space-Based Interceptor Capabilities with
Apex for U.S. Space Force ⊲
Northrop Grumman Corporation announced one
of its industry collaborators, Apex, will support
Northrop Grumman's leading role in the Nation's
historic drive to make space-based interceptors
(SBI) a reality by the end of the decade. As part of
the service's competition to demonstrate space-
based missile defense and field a network of SBIs
to protect the homeland soon after, Northrop Grum-
man is driving a culture of success with first-of-a-
kind missile defense systems to build a new layer
of homeland defense with an agile, nation-spanning
workforce and industry partners including Apex.
Indium, Ames National Laboratory Team Up
to Establish U.S. Gallium Supply Chain ⊲
Indium Corporation® and Ames National Labora-
tory have announced a research and development
partnership to expand U.S. production of gallium, a
critical material used in semiconductors and elec-
tronics, including smartphones, LED lighting, and
optoelectronics. The new alliance will focus on
developing the technologies needed to establish a
domestic supply chain for an element that currently
relies almost exclusively on imported sources.
MDA Space Tapped for U.S. MEO Epoch 2
Constellation ⊲
MDA Space Ltd., a leading provider of advanced
technology and services to the rapidly expanding
global space industry, has been selected by BAE
Systems, Inc. as part of the U.S. Space Systems
Command (SSC) MEO EPOCH 2 Constellation
program. A key component of the U.S. multi-orbit
missile defence architecture, Epoch 2 is focused
on warning and tracking of advanced ballistic and
hypersonic weapons.

RTX's Collins Aerospace Opens Expanded

Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, has opened
its newly expanded, 22,000 square-meter manu-
facturing facility in Tajęcina, Poland. The $69 million
expansion will support an increase in landing gear
system production capacity by nearly 25% for both
commercial and defense aircraft programs. The site
will create approximately 190 new jobs this year.
Boeing Validates MQ-28 Stealth Performance ⊲
Boeing has validated another advanced capability
for the MQ-28 collaborative combat aircraft, which
gives customers a decisive edge in combat: stealth
performance. The MQ-28 Ghost Bat is designed to
complement existing crewed aircraft by performing
a variety of roles, including surveillance, electronic
warfare, and force multiplication, all while maintain-
ing a low radar profile.
Lockheed Martin Delivers First Integrated
Combat System Baseline for the U.S. Navy ⊲
Lockheed Martin has successfully delivered the first
Integrated Combat System (ICS)-enabled baseline
to the U.S. Navy. ICS-enabled baselines combine
heritage combat system capability with modern
infrastructure, driving rapid proliferation of capability
through a singular development effort at scale.
