As a Lead Compliance Engineer–EMC, you will oversee projects, provide technical support to custom- ers, and work in a state-of-the-art test facility. A typical day might include the following: • Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the applicable standards and requirements for the EMC testing of automation, communica- tion, monitoring, and protection equipment for industrial and public utility environments • Develop compliance tests, procedures, and re- ports for EMC testing in accordance with ISO/ IEC 17025 • Develop and maintain a general understanding of SEL products and markets • Provide general technical and design assis- tance to product development teams • Mentor Engineers and Technicians in EMC testing This job might be for you if you have: • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, or relevant disci- pline, or equivalent experience • Familiarity with EMC design mitigation methods and best practices for equipment in industrial and public utility environments Pullman, Washington—SEL's corporate office is situated in Eastern Washington, where you will experience an unmatched quality of life. Power Systems Protection Engineer Engineers at SEL solve hard problems in many dis- ciplines. As a Power System Protection Engineer, a typical day might include: • Working with a customer to apply a new technology or solution to their power system • Designing models and/or demonstrations of new technology or solutions • Supporting SEL products and solution troubleshooting • Analyzing responses of protective relays to power system faults • Teaching customers how to use SEL products or how protective relays protect primary electrical equipment • Contributing to and reviewing white papers, applica- tion guides, industry journals, and technical papers This role might be for you if you: • Desire to learn how the power system responds to system faults and how protective relays detect them • Have a passion for teaching others for their growth and for yours • Enjoy applying creativity to your engineering solu- tions every day Preferred qualifications and abilities: • A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; master's degree is preferred • A minimum of 5 years of experience with power sys- tem protection and relays. • Relevant work experience and knowledge of utility and/or industrial power systems with an emphasis on protection, control, and operations • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers Pullman, Washington—SEL's corporate office is sit- uated in Eastern Washington, where you will experi- ence an unmatched quality of life.
