IPC COMMUNITY 72 SPRING 2025 How will Industry Intelligence support IPC's work related to public policy, workforce development, and sustainability? What are some specific ways you will contribute to these areas this year? Industry Intelligence has long been an integral part of IPC's work, and in 2025, we are focusing on raising awareness, internally and externally, of Industry Intel- ligence as both a thought and an execution partner ready to help build on past successes and prepare for upcoming challenges. In advocacy, for example, our data and reports can continue to strengthen IPC's voice in policy discus- sions, evaluating the economic impact of new legisla- tion, or identifying supply chain resiliency issues that require government support. In workforce development, we're examining trends in automation and Industry 4.0 adoption to anticipate the training needs of tomorrow's workforce and help our members access the talent they need to stay com- petitive. On sustainability, our reports will reinforce IPC's strategies that help members stay compliant and push toward even more ambitious goals in collaboration with peers. In short, Industry Intelligence is positioned as a key resource to help IPC and its members not just adapt to these challenges but turn them into opportunities for leadership and growth. Let's look ahead five years. How do you envision the Industry Intelligence program evolving, and what impact do you hope it will have? IPC's global expansion creates new opportunities for partnerships with international and local organi- zations, opening avenues for richer data collection and more diverse agenda-setting. This enables us to stay ahead of regional and global trends while remaining deeply connected to the nuances of local markets. Over the next five years, I see Indus- try Intelligence leveraging these partnerships to refine our insights and better align them with the challenges and opportunities faced by our members worldwide. Thank you for this engaging conversation, Thiago. We're all excited about the direc- tion we're headed. As we close, tell us more about your life outside of work. If I may go analog for a moment, I'm hoping this will be the year I put more hours into my rock climbing, hopefully bringing my kids along to spend time out- doors. Music is my other big passion, and I'm looking forward to catching a lot of shows, studying some more guitar, and buying more audio gear that I proba- bly don't need. At least I know more about how those electronic components are being sourced. If you would like to learn more about the investments IPC is making in Industry Intelligence and how we can ensure our work supports your research needs, please send an email to ThiagoGuimaraes@ipc.org. Thiago enjoys rock climbing with his family.
