IPC COMMUNITY 84 SPRING 2025 ASSOCIATION NEWS The IPC Raymond E. Pritchard Hall of Fame Award is the highest level of recognition awarded by IPC to individuals who have made significant contributions to the electronics industry. Since the award was first given in 1977 to William McGinley of Methode Electronics, there have been 45 recipients. In several years, more than one recipient is named. In this article, we delve into the memories, achievements, and future predictions of some of these esteemed members. Cherished Memories of IPC Teresa Rowe (2022) fondly recalls being asked to write the first IPC- J-STD-001 training program. The responsibility was immense, and she was both excited and honored to take on such a significant task. Dave Hillman (2017) enjoyed collab- orating with committee members on specification criteria, emphasizing the sense of teamwork and shared goals. For Dan Feinberg (2008), the thrill of being asked to take on new and interesting tasks, coupled with the opportunity to learn through consulting and writing, stands out as a favorite memory. Gene Weiner (2005) has trea- sured memories from more than 60 years of attending IPC meetings. Key moments include advocating for suppliers to become equal voting members, forming the Tech- nology Marketing Research Council (TMRC), and representing IPC at international events. Doug Pauls (2016) cherishes the mentorship he received from industry leaders who generously shared their knowledge. Denny Fritz (2011) recalls his intro- Celebrating the IPC Hall of Fame By Tracy Riggan, Senior Director, IPC Solutions Remembering Ray Pritchard: It is with sadness that we report the passing of Ray Pritchard on Jan. 19, 2025. Ray was IPC's first executive director. His legacy is deeply woven into the fabric of the association and the printed circuit board industry. At IPC, we will honor his memory by continuing to build on the foundation he helped shape.
