68 I-CONNECT007 I REAL TIME WITH... IPC APEX EXPO 2024 SHOW & TELL MAGAZINE Antoine Mwamaba is an electrical product engineer at Cisco Systems. What was your goal for coming to IPC APEX EXPO? I was hoping to learn about the electronics industry, which I had so little knowledge about. I feel like college did a really bad job of preparing me. This show is really teaching us what goes on in the electronics industry, especially on the manufacturing, assembly, and materials side of things. Tell me about your job. I work as an electrical product engineer, and I drive the entire bill of materials for a specific telecom product. What's your impression of the show overall? The show's great. There's a lot of new technology and a lot of very knowledgeable people. I'm seeing a lot of things that I can actually implement in my own process back home with my own DFM checks. Did you go to any of the Professional Development Courses? I did. The very first one was design for manufacturing and assembly reliability. That was directly related to my job because I do a lot of DFM reviews. It was taught by Dale Lee.
